On-Site Portable Sawmill Service. Boards, Beams, Natural Edge Slabs from YOUR Logs. IT’S AN EASY PROCESS! I bring a sawmill and saw YOUR logs into YOUR lumber on YOUR property. No need to transport logs to a sawmill or to haul your lumber back home. I do it all at YOUR convenience!! However, if you prefer, you can have your logs delivered to my mill.

THE PROCESS
I have a variety of customers: homeowners, land owners, farmers, woodworkers, contractors, etc. I’ve milled lumber for barns, sheds, garages, houses, siding, special projects, etc . The possibilities are endless what you can do with your own milled wood.
It's pretty simple. I bring a sawmill and saw your logs into your lumber at your property. I do not provide clean up. I leave you with your newly milled boards or beams, scraps, slab wood and sawdust. Milling is messy but far less expensive than most retail outfits. (And it's pretty fun to watch).

MILLING CAPABILITIES/COST
Boards, Beams, Natural Edge Slabs from Your Logs
I.e., Logs up to 36” diameter
28” wide final cuts
Any dimension in 1/16” increments.
21’ long (longer available on special setup)
Cost:
1.00 to 1.25 a board foot for most lumber up to and including 16 feet. Lumber over 16 feet is individually priced due to handling and availability of logs.
Timber beams are priced on an individual basis.

Dirty logs are subject to a cleaning fee. Please clear logs of mud, rocks and other debris before bringing them to be milled.
Steel/Foreign Object charge is $30 for replacement of Saw blade.
BOARDS IN STOCK
In the middle of a project and run out of boards? Don't feel like running to your local retail store? I am always milling when not on a portable job. I have many boards in stock. I have rough cut 2x4s to 2x12s and 1x4s to 1x12s 8 foot to 16 foot.

I’m Matt Harris. I grew up in VT and am back in the beautiful Green Mountain State after serving 22 years in the Army. I recently retired as a CW4 and spent many years as a UH-60 Blackhawk pilot. I am proud to call myself a Veteran! I have fond memories as a child of helping my grandfather milling wood. Those special memories always stuck with me and it became my dream to own my own sawmill. Well, here I am living the dream! Life is good!

CUSTOM MILLING
With my Woodmizer LT40 sawmill, I can come to you and do all of your milling on site. I’ll come in with my portable sawmill and do the milling without adding the extra inconvenience of transport. Your finished product will be ready to use when I’m done.
If you do not have a place for milling on your property, no worries. You can have your logs transported to my mill and pick up your lumber when the milling is complete. If you’re not sure what you want or need, just give me a call and I can point you in the right direction and assist you in purchasing your logs.
